Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Cards Arena ("The Service"). By accessing or using our platform and any of its games (Cribbage24, Pinochle24, BidWhist24, OhHell24, Canasta24), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's consent to use the Service.

Cards Arena is provided "as is" for entertainment purposes. Each game follows the classic rules of its respective card game, though specific rule variants may differ from regional customs.

User Accounts: Creating an account is optional. Account features, where available, include ratings, leaderboards, saved games, statistics and avatar customization. Features differ between games; OhHell24 currently runs as a solo game with progress saved on your device. You may register with email/password or through supported social login providers (Google, Apple) when available. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

Free Play: Cards Arena offers a free play mode on each game that requires no login and allows unlimited games against AI opponents. Available difficulty levels depend on the game.

2. Free Service & Advertising

Free Access: Cards Arena does not sell tokens, hint packs, subscriptions, or digital goods. Core gameplay and account features do not require a purchase.

Advertising: Native Android and iOS versions may display an interstitial after a completed game. New players receive an initial ad-free grace period and display frequency is limited by the active game configuration.

No Real-Money Purchases: Stripe checkout and Apple/Google in-app purchases have been retired. Legacy balances shown by older clients have no monetary value.

3. Fair Play & Game Features

Our AI opponents are designed to be challenging but fair. Each difficulty level uses probability analysis and strategy algorithms but does not "cheat" by seeing your cards or the deck order beyond what is legally visible in the game state. Shuffles and available rule variants are handled by each game’s rules engine.

Glicko-2 Rating: Where rankings are available, players with accounts receive a per-game skill rating that accounts for results and rating uncertainty.

Daily Challenge: Games that support daily challenges offer a new challenge each day. All players worldwide receive the same seeded game to ensure fair competition.

Collections: Where available, collectible albums and rewards are tied to your account. Availability depends on the game.

Community Board: Where available, authenticated users can participate in the Community Board. Posts and comments are visible to all visitors. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display your content within the Service. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates our community standards without notice.

Achievements: Players earn achievements by reaching in-game milestones. Achievement criteria and rewards are subject to change at our discretion.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others. You agree not to exploit bugs, manipulate game systems, or use automated tools to gain unfair advantages. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our terms, engage in inappropriate behavior, or abuse game systems.

Community Standards: When using the Community Board, you agree not to post content that is offensive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate. Do not post spam, self-promotional links, personal information of others, or content that infringes third-party rights.

We reserve the right to moderate usernames and remove accounts with offensive or inappropriate names. Banned users lose access to account features.

5. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
